David’s passion is people — both patients and providers. He is driven to cultivate enriching environments for providers and help them find their “why”. His mission is to catalyze and curate a positive atmosphere where patients and providers thrive. He has a proven track record of using technology and highly skilled talent to make high-quality healthcare more inclusive and accessible.

David is a certified registered nurse anesthetist with nearly two decades of experience in both clinical anesthesia and academic research settings. He was involved in seminal research in the field of ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia and has a deep enthusiasm for teaching in this field.

With a previous career in computer science and software engineering, David has leveraged this experience in simulation-based education and critical events training. He has since led anesthesia teams at large medical centers, and serves as president of MaiTran Consulting.
